SOFT SKILLS
I have learned from my directors and full-time coaching staff how to also gain hands-on experience teaching fundamental skills, drills, and game strategies to youth athletes. This comes with learning to gain additional certification that will help my grow as a worthy and self-proven worker.
I developed strong communication skills through customer service and operational roles. I learned how to adjust my communication style depending on the audience, whether working with parents, children, senior citizens, and new members.
Through my coursework, I gained knowledge in sports operations. Projects that I have worked on included running customer surveys, presentations, creating Excel spreadsheets for business and data analytics, and also being tasked with making business orders and merchandise for the company.
Leadership has been a central part of my journey, especially through military service and coaching from previous experiences outside the internship site. I have learned how to guide others, make decisions, act accordingly, and take responsibility.
I used basic data visualization to track financial revenue transactions. With improvement over time by my supervisor and management, I grew and learned how to connect, speak up, and become a team player through strategies and planning.
As a non-traditional student balancing school, work, and family, I developed a strong sense of adaptability. I can adjust to different situations and environments while maintaining greater performance.
